Famous Authors Classroom Rules

I love using author quotes to display classroom rules. These posters are vivid, inspirational, and easy to understand. They work best when printed on card stock. Even better, it's free! To get this product follow this link: Famous Authors Rules.

Literary Devices

Speaking of posters, I like to display literary devices as part of my word wall. This is a collection of 17 commonly found devices to display for student reference. Posters are colorful and include both the definition and an example of usage. To get this product follow this link: Literary Devices
Introduction to Rhyme Scheme and Rhythm in Poetry

I find a lot of times middle school students need a refresher on rhyme scheme. This is a very basic power point. It works best when paired with a poem (I often use the Jabberwocky but it works with other poems as well.) Powerpoint is short and easy to understand. It works well as an introduction into analyzing the structure of poetry. To get this product follow this link: Rhyme and Rhythm in Poetry
